QUESTIONS
We're dead nice so you can give us a call on 01388 731 777 or drop us an email to ask us your questions, but if you don't fancy that, have a leisurely scroll through the paintballing info we're most often asked for below and see if we've psychically answered all of your questions.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE FOR PAINTBALLING AT UNDERSIEGE PAINTBALL?
You have to be 11 years old or above on the day you come paintballing in order participate in paintballing games. An adult must stay on site with all groups of under 16-year-olds and all under 18-year-olds will be asked to bring along a parental consent form signed by their parent or guardian.
IS THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE WE HAVE TO BRING?
Yes - the minimum group size is 12 players.
DO YOU HAVE TO BOOK TO COME PAINTBALLING?
Yes – you need to book in advance just so that we can make sure that we have enough games managers and marshals in on the day to guarantee everyone’s safety. It’s best to book a couple of weeks in advance.
HOW DO I BOOK FOR PAINTBALLING?
Get your friends together, decide how many of you are going to come along, choose a date, choose a package and then give us a call on 01388 731 777. We’ll get you booked in and then we’ll ask you to pay a deposit of £5 per person. We’ll do this by sending across a paypal invoice on email, which you can pay by card or paypal once you’ve collected deposits from your group. We’d then confirm your booking and get organised for your visit.
CAN I BUY EXTRA PAINTBALLS ON THE DAY?
You certainly can. They’re £8 per 100 and they’ll be available all day. We don’t have a card machine on site. Our paintball site is in woodland and we haven’t got a great phone signal so it's payment by cash on the day. If you’d prefer to pay for your paintballs in advance by paypal or card, please just give us a call on 01388 731 777 and we can organise that for you.
WHAT SHALL I WEAR FOR PAINTBALLING?
We provide camouflage overalls and all the gear, but mud does seem to get everywhere.Wear something comfortable that you can happily run around the forest in and that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty.Shoe-wise, consider that you’re going to be running around the forest floor. The surface will be uneven, there’ll be roots, leaves, tree branches and, if it’s been raining, then it could be muddy or slippery too.We would advise some sturdy outdoor footwear ideally with ankle support.A change of clothes is a good idea too, just in case!
HOW MANY PAINTBALLS WILL I NEED?
We reckon that, on average, people go through around 500 paintballs in a full day (9.30am till 3.30pm) and 300 paintballs in a half day (9.30am till 12.00pm or 12.30pm till 3.30pm).You don’t have to be average though – you can go through as many or as few paintballs as you like.
DO YOU DO A DISCOUNT FOR BULK PURCHASES OF PAINTBALLS?
Our paintballs are £8 per 100 no matter how many or how few you buy. That’s our best price on paintballs (we think it’s the best in the north east) and it’s available to everyone. How nice are we?!!
CAN I BRING MY OWN PAINTBALLS?
We’re sorry but you can’t bring your own paintballs.
CAN I USE MY OWN PAINTBALL EQUIPMENT?
You can use your own paintball marker as long as we are able to chronograph it to ensure that it is firing at the same rate as our guns.We use a CO2 system so we won’t be able to refuel your guns if they run on compressed air.You can use your own overalls and gloves, but we would have to inspect your goggles and any head protection you might bring along to ensure that it meets our standards.
HOW LONG IS A FULL DAY?
A full day starts at 9.30am and goes on until around 3pm, but you’re very welcome to stay for as long as you like.
HOW LONG IS HALF A DAY?
Our morning session runs from 9.30am until 12.30pm and the afternoon session from 1.00pm until 3.00pm.
WHAT'S FOR LUNCH?

We don't offer lunch as part of our paintball packages because we prefer to stick to what we're good at, and that's paintball. If you're coming along for a full day, please bring a packed lunch with you to keep you going. We do have a tuck shop for such delicacies as Pot Noodles, crisps, chocolate bars and cans of fizzy pop, so all is not lost if you forget your sarnies.
DO YOU HAVE A TUCK SHOP?
We do. It sells the basic food groups: Pot Noodles, crisps, chocolate and pop.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
We still play!Paintballing is a safe sport to play in most weather. In the highly unlikely event that we do need to cancel because of weather (extreme thunderstorms, gales, or very, very heavy snowfall), then we’ll give you a call at least an hour before you’re due to play so you don’t have a wasted journey.
DOES IT HURT?
Being hit by a paintball is a bit like being flicked with an elastic band – it’s that kind of pain – and you will bruise. We have extra body armour for anyone who would like it, and close firing is not allowed in any of our games.
